celebrations for recovery begin in the city

NYC Homecoming week kicks off today and will bring more than 100 arts, cultural and entertainment events to communities in all five boroughs.

This series of events celebrates the city’s resilience in the aftermath of the pandemic and runs through August 22.

The main event is a concert in Central Park, to be held next Saturday, led by Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson and more singers.

The events are also intended to promote and support small businesses and local organizations.

Another important activity is the free outdoor film screenings thanks to the Rooftop Films company.

This organization will screen six different films around the city.

To enter the event, attendees must show proof that they have at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
