Celebrations and Reflections: OUDE WAAG 24 Autumn and Winter Collection – A Blend of Romance, War, and Hope

Celebrations after the epidemic; the war that still has no end; the unpredictable social environment and the rapid development of technology. We completed the OUDE WAAG 24 autumn and winter series with complex and uneasy feelings, and at the same time chose the contradictory element of fireworks to As our response to the present: Fireworks first originated in China in the Tang Dynasty in the 2nd century BC. Initially, gunpowder made from bamboo was used as fireworks for folk celebrations, and then spread to Europe and evolved into weapons. As they evolved, fireworks became both a symbol of romance and ephemerality and an accomplice in war.

In this series, we continue the use of men’s tailoring techniques and use gorgeous fabrics to combine them with evening dresses to create a series of celebration clothing. At the same time, we bleached and distressed different fabrics to reflect the evolution of different levels of color in the brief bloom of fireworks: it also includes military green elements that metaphorize war. In any case, we ultimately hope to bring warmth and security to people in the next winter, so the giant dark pink plush coat in flesh pink was created. This is a series about the intertwining of celebration and reflection on war. We hope to remain optimistic and face the future with strength.

COLLECTION NOTES

The entire series starts with earthy brown: LOOK1 stretch rib knit asymmetrically wraps around the body and sleeves to give the body a soft armor; LOOK2 brown bright silk knit blooms like subtle sparks on the skin; LOOK3 elegant sand-washed copper A spandex skirt brings lightness to a tightly wrapped upper body;

The print of the LOOK7 brown-green dress evolved from an abstract explosion in an instant, and the sleeves expose the most vulnerable part of the neck; the LOOK8 turtleneck cashmere sweater brings warmth and extreme comfort while asymmetrically draping half The skirt adds a touch of danger; LOOK9’s army green distressed washed jacket brings a sense of strength and discipline to the soft cupro silk dress; LOOK10, LOOK30, the model wraps the sculptural woolen jacket around the fragile body with her hands.

LOOK16 distressed salt-shrunk stretch denim fabric is sewn into a herringbone texture, and cleverly combined with a fishtail skirt structure to combine this classic element of men’s clothing with a feminine silhouette; LOOK19, LOOK21 hot stamping technology is used on the elastic After the denim is washed and stone-milled, it not only maintains its elasticity and softness, but also gives it a certain shaping texture, just like a distorted and destroyed architectural structure placed on the human body. LOOK23 made a dress of the same style as LOOK21 from evening dress satin draping material, but it showed a completely different effect: it was the beginning of stepping out of conflict into celebration. LOOK26, LOOK28 men’s tailoring technology is still continued in this series. The collarless design of the suit sleeve jacket cleverly highlights the unique sense of power of women.

Finally, we came to the climax of the celebration, with the flying fireworks lighting up the night sky and transforming into a cupro printed dress that reflected on the human body; the last pink fluff is our hope for the future, about female power, warmth and security.
