“We are very happy with the positive response we have received on all channels so far. Our wish is to welcome as many people as possible to Waidmannsdorf who are involved in youth and non-professional sports in their spare time. Fun is the cry of our society; values such as tolerance and fairness are taught in the clubs and people from different cultures and social backgrounds are brought together. This must be encouraged in every way,” said Sport Management Director Günther Gorenzel.
After the ticket campaign was announced on the Austrian channels Klagenfurt, several football, tennis and ski clubs ordered free tickets for their members for the match against WSG Tirol. Registration is simple: the clubs only need to send an email to tigoidean@skaustria Klagefurt.at to indicate the number of participants; the invitation is valid for 20 participants and five people per team. The tickets will then be available to collect from the office, sent by email or deposited at the box office on the day.
“With Wattens we are facing a direct competitor in the fight to stay in the league, so of course we want to keep three points in Klagenfurt. The more people in the stands supporting our team, the better. “I think it’s good how many people contribute to non-professional sports and I think it’s a very good thing that Austria has announced club day,” said Austria’s head coach Peter Pacult.
After twelve games, the Violets are in ninth place and already have 15 points, but WSG Tirol (12) are hot on Waidmannsdorfers’ heels. SCR Altach and Grazer AK continue in eleventh and twelfth place with nine points. But it’s also worth looking up, after all, fourth-placed Red Bull Salzburg is only four points ahead. The Pacult team is also happily involved in the race for the top 6.
“We talked about it in the team and we think it’s good that our club invites all the players and assistants around the teams from youth and amateur levels to a Bundesliga game. “All of us benefited from this voluntary work once,” said midfielder Christopher Wernitznig, looking forward to the Carinthian sports family’s Advent celebration.
