Various Activities at Vietnam-US Cultural Friendship Day in Hanoi
The Vietnam-US Cultural Friendship Day was held Saturday (July 15th) in Hanoi to celebrate the 28th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral comprehensive partnership.

At the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam-US Friendship Association in Hanoi, Dinh Hông Phong, highlighted the development of bilateral relations over the past 28 years, especially in the areas of economy, culture, politics, trade, investment, education, science and technology and climate change.
He said that the city of Hanoi attaches great importance to cooperation with American localities through meetings between city authorities, business forums and exchanges.
For his part, the United States Ambassador to Vietnam, Marc Knapper, stressed that the two countries cooperate closely in many fields, of which cooperation in the field of education plays a fundamental role, enabling the peoples of the two countries to get closer.
Currently, more than 30,000 Vietnamese students and students are studying in the United States, with Vietnam ranking 5th in terms of the number of foreign students in the United States.
He expressed his pride in the cooperation between educational institutions and schools in Hanoi and those in localities in the United States and hoped to see more achievements in this regard.
Ambassador Marc Knapper said the United States always supports an independent, strong and prosperous Vietnam.
During this event, various activities were organized, including an exhibition and a painting competition on the theme “Peace – Friendship”, the presentation of the kitchen, a cultural and artistic festival as well as the delivery of books.
