The central mosque in Haskovo was once again cramped to accommodate all those who came for the prayer. The oldest man in the family must go to the temple. The holiday is dedicated to the sacrifice for the prophet Ibrahim.
Anyone who can afford it drives an animal. Tradition dictates that the meat be divided into seven parts – one of them remains for the family, and the rest is given to the poorer. The mufti will also distribute meat to the needy.
The holiday will last several days, NOVA reported.
