Warsaw, November 3, 2023 – @CancilleriaCol. Before an audience of more than three hundred people, including members of the diplomatic corps and authorities, but mainly the general Polish public, the Afro-Colombian musical group “El Caribefunk” performed, performing a wide repertoire of songs that sing about life.
The audience at the Terminal Kultury auditorium in Gocław, in the city of Warsaw, where there was a full house, enjoyed and danced the songs of the group, which, as highlighted in the presentation, brought rhythms from the Colombian Caribbean performed in an authentic and contemporary way, but which also show a part of the enormous diversity of our country, which earned them a nomination for the 2020 Grammy Award in the categories of Best Contemporary Album and Tropical Fusion.
With this musical activity, within the framework of the Plan for the Promotion of Colombia Abroad, a cultural diplomacy tool of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Colombian Embassy in Poland made progress in strengthening the presence of Colombia in Poland, through the art and culture.
