Celebrating at the Holy Cura de Ars – 2024-08-10 05:54:11

The charisma of Saint John Baptist Mary of Vianney, better known as the Holy Curé of Ars, was present in the celebration of the patronal feast of the parish that bears his name in Rancagua, which is why his faithful commemorated this date by intensifying their prayer and their love for the Eucharist.

According to the parish priest of the P. Santo Cura de Ars, priest Héctor Pulgar, they began praying the novena in honor of the saint every day at 7:30 p.m. In addition, on Thursday, August 1, they held Eucharistic Adoration in the temple to pray for priestly vocations.

On Saturday, the diocesan bishop, Monsignor Guillermo Vera, performed the coronation of the Virgin Mary, in a beautiful display of devotion and love for the Immaculate Conception of Mary. In this parish, in every Eucharistic Adoration, her intercession is invoked with a prayer: “Immaculate Mary, mother of priests.” The people respond: “Pray for them and for us.”

On the day of the feast, Sunday, August 4, at 11:30 a.m. a procession was held through the streets surrounding the parish with the image of the Holy Curé of Ars and the relic of its patron saint, ending with the celebration of the Holy Mass.

Happy Parish Priest’s Day!

On Sunday, August 4, the parish communities celebrated Parish Priests’ Day, in honor of their patron saint, the Holy Curé of Ars, greeting them for their work and dedication to their priestly service. There were many greetings, social gatherings and displays of affection that they gave to their priests.

On the other hand, the Presbyteral Pastoral organized a fraternal meeting with all the priests of the diocese, to share with the bishop, Monsignor Guillermo Vera, and celebrate the day of the parish priest. The meeting took place on Wednesday, August 7 at the Mariápolis Center located in Cunaco and was attended by a large part of the clergy.
