Both Friday and Saturday, Oslo celebrates the 50th anniversary of Pakistani immigration to Oslo.
The anniversary committee’s leader, Khalid Mahmood, opened the ceremony in Oslo City Hall on Friday, before city council leader Raymond Johansen (Labor Party) gave a speech. Pakistan’s ambassador to Norway, Tale Baber Amin, did the same.
On Saturday, the stage is set for a folk festival at Rådhusplassen to mark the anniversary further.
