On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the successful Viennese office Pichler & Traupmann Architekten, founded in 1992 by Christoph Pichler and Johann Traupmann, this representative work monograph is being published with essays by internationally renowned architecture journalists and natural scientists, detailed project presentations in thematic order and a complete list of the around 250 realized so far Buildings, competitions and studies.
The focus of the sophisticated design philosophy of Pichler & Traupmann Architects is the potential of the respective location in the field of tension between polarities. The main areas of work are commercial buildings, residential and educational buildings. The most prominent realizations include the headquarters of the Austrian mobility club ÖAMTC in Vienna (2013-2016), the expansion of the Eisenstadt cultural center (2006-2012), the Future Art Lab of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (2014-2020), the RAIQA (Raiffeisen-Quartier Innsbruck-Mitte, since 2019) and the Pinkafeld University of Applied Sciences campus (since 2019).
