Axelle Red has entered the hearts of the French for many years. Privately, the singer lives a love affair with France. Close to people, she likes to return to the same places: “People end up knowing us, we are welcomed like French people.“
It’s magical, the mountains in summer
Among her favorite corners of France, Axelle Red readily cites the Hautes-Alpes:
“I have a chalet with eight couples of friends in the Hautes-Alpes. We meet there once or twice a year. We know the local people and I love them. We are really adopted there as French people. I have a few places in France like that, where I feel French.“
While enjoying this majestic setting, Axelle Red admits to having changed her outlook on the mountain:
“Before, I thought that summer vacations in the mountains weren’t fun. I like to look beautiful in summer, to feel pretty and all that. And in the mountains, we are always in shorts, with a cap. But actually, I think I still prefer the mountains in summer. The mountains are magical in summer.“

Axelle Red no longer skis. In winter in the mountains, she rather enjoys cocooning moments with her loved ones. According to her, it is in summer that the mountains offer their full potential:
“You discover everything you don’t see in winter. The animals, the marmots, it’s magical. You learn so much about life. I love that. In fact, I think I love this region.“
