[앵커]

The House Concert, where people sit around the performers and listen, is approaching its thousandth performance.

There are countless artists who have passed through here, including pianist Cho Seong-jin, who has now grown into a world-class performer.

The sweet melodies of piano and string instruments fill the cozy space.

This is The House Concert, where performers sit on a stage without a podium and the audience sits on the floor and can interact with the music with their whole bodies.

The House Concert, which started in July 2002 at a private home in Yeonhui-dong, Seoul and has established itself as an unrivaled salon concert, is approaching its 1,000th anniversary.

Over the past 21 years, 4,700 artists have performed on stage alone.

The godmother of the violin world, Kyung-Hwa Chung, and rookie pianists Seong-Jin Cho and Yun-Chan Lim also took this stage.

There were twists and turns before moving to the current Daehakro performance hall, but the secret to its longevity is the special viewing method that allows you to communicate closely and vividly with the performers.

[박창수 / 더 하우스콘서트 대표 : (하우스콘서트가) 호소력 있게 계속 유지됐던 건 이건 필요한 일이라고 연주자와 관객 모두 공감했던 것 같아요.]

House Concert’s 1,000th performance (October 10th) will be moved to Lotte Concert Hall.

A total of 8 teams and 50 performers will participate, and while the first floor auditorium will be empty, about 100 audience members will sit around the performers on stage and enjoy the music.
