In Stukenbrock-Senne, the co-founder of Kfd is firmly rooted in the life of the parish of St. Achatius. For the round cradle festival, a big party is held in the Schützenhalle. She radiates warmth and optimism, is down to earth and humble.
Her name is inextricably linked with the Kfd Carnival, which she launched in 1971 together with Thea Apelmeier and Änne Seipolt. For over 30 years she sang, danced and disguised herself in the foolish performances, which were enthusiastically celebrated. The skits in which she sprayed real dairyman local color and brought tears of laughter to the eyes are unforgettable. “That was a wonderful time,” she looks back. She took on a lot of responsibility on the board of Kfd, which she was chairman for ten years.
She is also known as the good soul of Pension Schniedermann, which she opened in 1985 with her husband Gerd on Hövelrieger Straße. As hosts, the couple were in their element and looked after the guests with great dedication. After the death of her husband, she continued to run the pension. The Steuben Parade was a special experience when she and her husband passed the cheering crowd in New York in 1996 as the imperial couple.
Irmgard Schniedermann stayed young and still manages a lot every day. In the accommodation that she still operates today, she is now accommodating police officers. The jubilee grew up in Altenbeken. After school she completed a commercial apprenticeship. With her husband Gerd, whom she married in 1966, she had sons Rolf and Klaus. There were three grandchildren. When the dairymen can finally celebrate again after the pandemic, Irmgard Schniedermann and her partner Manfred Nickel will be happy to take part again.
