Bolivar City.- As part of the celebration of World Blood Donor Day, volunteers attended the Blood Bank of the Ruiz y Páez Hospital in order to save lives through their donation.
Donating is a commitment, that is why it seeks to raise awareness about the importance and need of having blood to give health to other people, as well as to become aware of the donation processes.
The director of the Ruiz y Páez Hospital Blood Bank, Dr. Yesenia Hernández, stated that the goal is to continue promoting voluntary blood donation in the state.
The activity was also reflected in the Caroní municipalities, as well as in Cedeño and Gran Sabana, where with joy the volunteers gave their blood and life in solidarity.
Hernández stressed that the Blood Bank of the Ciudad Bolívar Hospital has a trained and ready staff to attend to all the people who wish to donate blood.
