Celebrate Necoxtla in San Francisco

Mendoza City.- The indigenous community of Necoxtla celebrates its Patron Saint San Francisco de Asís, with masses, music and pilgrimages, among other activities.
With great fervor, festivities are held in honor of the Patron Saint of the town located in the upper part of Ciudad Mendoza, due to the health contingency caused by the covid-19, some activities such as the traditional pilgrimage that year after year leaves from the municipal seat to Necoxtla.
However, in the town after touring the image of San Francisco de Asís throughout the parish territory of Necoxtla, the parishioners receive it with flowers, music, xochitlallis, traditional dances and candles, as an offering, grateful for the blessings of the Patron Saint.
Today Las mañanitas to the Patron Saint will be at 6 in the morning and the solemn mass in honor of San Francisco de Asís will be at 11 in the morning; at the end there will be a sample of pre-Hispanic dances.
While on Tuesday at 5 pm will be the pilgrimage of the Child Doctor; On Wednesday the activities continue with the mornings to the Virgen del Rosario at 6 in the morning and at 6 pm there will be the La Cumbre pilgrimage.
The festivities culminate on Thursday, October 7; At 11 in the morning there will be the mass in honor of the Virgin of the Rosary, at the end you will also be able to appreciate traditional dances and at 18 hours a pilgrimage will take place.
