Celebrate Music Day with four concerts by the Philharmonic Orchestra

On November 22 we celebrate the International Music Day, as a special date dedicated to all the people who are dedicated to music and are lovers of it.

It is also known as International Musician’s Day and this date was chosen because it commemorates the death of Saint Cecilia, patron saint of musicians and poets.

Saint Celia was a Roman noblewoman and considered a Christian martyr. Furthermore, she was portrayed in the 15th century always playing the harp or other musical instruments, which is why she has been so linked to the art of music.

7 Years of the Peace Agreement

The Center for Memory, Peace and Reconciliation will commemorate the seven years since the signing of the Peace Agreement between the Colombian government and the FARC-EP, in an event chaired by the former president of the republic and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Juan Manuel Santos, who will reflect on the implementation of the Agreement and the challenges and opportunities that still exist in the peacebuilding process in the country.

The event will take place in the main auditorium of the Center for Memory, Peace and Reconciliation and will begin with a musical intervention by the Sons and Daughters of Peace Choir of the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra, which is made up of sons and daughters of former FARC-EP combatants.
