A few days ago, the students of the CEIP Francisco de Quevedo de Torre de Juan Abad went to Villanueva de los Infantes to see, among other places, the Quevedo Cell in the Convent of Santo Domingo, the Alhóndiga, the Plaza Mayor and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
At the Museum they were able to enjoy a guided tour of the exhibition of the artist Pepe Buitrago, which with the title ‘The Appearance of Reality – The Reality of Appearance’, offers a journey of his last 35 years as an artist, through his works, among which we can find oil paintings, photographs, videos, holograms and visual poetry. The schoolchildren were especially surprised by holography, a technique in which Buitrago is one of the great international specialists. Since 2014, in Villanueva de los Infantes, he has directed the Dados Negros Holography and Arts Center.
