The VI edition of the Solidarity Race of the CEIP Carlos V, in Albacete, has been a complete success. Students, families and the entire educational community were involved in this initiative, which took place last Monday, March 13, at the center’s facilities. 409 bib numbers sold, which have translated into more than 977 euros that will go to the Caritas group of the Parish of San Pablo for their new Purse Card project, through which they will enable families in the neighborhood to buy in a dignified way, in standardized establishments, the essential products they need.
This Tuesday there will also be several raffles with gifts donated by more than twenty local companies in the city, which have also wanted to collaborate and do their bit in this solidarity initiative.
As explained by the director of Cáritas Parroquial de San Pablo, María García, “generosity is not just being available and giving, generosity means being able to look around, to see who is suffering, who needs support and doing something to change that reality”. Cáritas values that brave and generous attitude, capable of changing the lives of people who need help.
