The ASL of Brindisi has published today, 14 October, the notices for the recruitment, first for a fixed term and then for an indefinite period, of the staff necessary to guarantee the public management of the Center for neuroimpaired and motuli patients in Ceglie Messapica, managed for 24 years by the San Raffaele Foundation, which is headed by the Lazio entrepreneur Angelucci: the provision follows the collective dismissal procedure started about ten days ago by the Foundation for all the staff who work at the structure, including doctors, nurses, cooks, auxiliaries , administrative and technical.
As is known, with law no. 21 of 30 May 2024 (and related executive resolutions of ASL Brindisi) the Puglia Region has ordered the return to public management of the Centre, providing for the internalisation of the staff (therefore the transit of the 157 employees from the private legal entity, which manages it under the agreement, to the structure of the local health authority, of which it is in fact part). However, the regional legislation has been challenged by San Raffaele and the issue is currently under the attention of the Lecce section of the Regional Administrative Court which, after the first precautionary measures which have substantially paralyzed the effects of the regional law, will rule on the merits starting from next April 9th.
Regional councilor (former Action) Fabiano Amati, president of the Budget, Finance and Planning Commission, promoter and first signatory of the Apulian internalisation law, spoke on this point: “This is how a new era begins and I gratefully thank the majority of the Center’s staff of rehabilitation, who without any fear stood alongside the public administration to achieve this very important result, supporting me even in the darkest moments”.
