Seven employees working in one or other of the four Cégep de Lanaudière establishments pitched in to organize this memorable evening.
Employees and retirees from the four Cégep de Lanaudière establishments gathered at Île-Lebel Park on September 29 to mark the 25th anniversary of the higher education institution. It was under the theme “Back to the future” that the guests celebrated the journey taken to better take a look at the future.
“What do I see for the future? A community that continues to be committed to providing high-quality education, striving for excellence, fostering educational innovation, and preparing our students to meet the challenges of the modern world. I hope more than ever that we use the locomotive that all the advantages of a regional CEGEP represent to propel our small and large-scale projects,” declared Hélène Bailleu, general director of Cégep de Lanaudière, during her speech.
Indeed, beyond the festivities, this unifying event was an opportunity for the organization to present the fruit of its reflections on the future of Cégep de Lanaudière. Among other things, its new employer brand which will be deployed on different platforms soon was revealed to the guests for the first time.
It is therefore around the educational success of its students that the organization will now focus to bring its troops together. “A thousand professions, same objective: their success”, a statement which clearly reflects the organizational culture of Cégep de Lanaudière and which highlights the distinctive side of the workplace, will set the tone for the Cégep’s recruitment discourse.
“It is an invitation, whatever the profession, to come and fulfill themselves with us by putting their professional expertise at the service of a common goal, that of supporting students towards their academic and educational success by helping them to develop their full potential. It is a call to be part of a community dedicated to education where everyone’s contribution is unique, valued and considered,” added Ms. Bailleu.
Cégep de Lanaudière brings together three educational establishments located in L’Assomption, Joliette and Terrebonne, as well as a head office bringing together all administrative services, in Repentigny.
