Cécile Courrèges appointed as director general of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Regional Health Agency

Doctor Jean-Yves Grall, aged 66, had already made it known that he would leave his post in 2023. On April 19, on the proposal of the Minister of Health, his duties as director general of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Regional Health Agency (ARS). Cécile Courrèges, Inspector General of Social Affairs, will succeed him from May 15, the interim being provided by Muriel Vidalenc, Deputy Director General.

Journey

Following her training at the National School of Administration (ENA) and the National School of Public Health (ENSP), Cécile Courrèges joined the General Inspectorate of Social Affairs in avril 2002. And nNovember 2006she was appointed Departmental Director of Health and Social Affairs (DDASS) of Deux-Sèvres before joining the General Secretariat of the Ministries in charge of Social Affairs to lead the project team in charge of the creation of Regional Health Agencies (ARS).

In October 2009she was appointed pioneer and then general manager of ARS Bourgogne.

In June 2011she joined the National Cancer Institute as Director General, before being appointed Health and Autonomy Advisor to the Prime Minister’s Office in May 2012in charge of monitoring issues relating to health, disability and the elderly.
