In a historical era in which homosexual love can be experienced and cleared through customs freely, at least in Western countries, there are those who still have to suffer homophobic attacks, especially when it comes to public figures exposed to the social pillory. We are talking about Alessandro Cecchi Paone and her boyfriend, Simone Antolini, next competitors in the new edition of L’Isola dei Famosi. The two will even celebrate their first anniversary in Honduras, while Ilary Blasi, Enrico Papi and Vladimir Luxuria will be in the studio. In an interview with Nuovo TV, Cecchi Paone confessed that her boyfriend didn’t have a simple time: “Simone lived a month of hell when we made our love story public. He was shocked ”.

For Alessandro Cecchi Paone it will be the third time on Italy’s most famous tropical island, the first for Antolini who, as a character not belonging to the world of entertainment, has struggled up to now to withstand the social pressure on him. And now they have a great responsibility, they will in fact be the first gay couple to participate in the program and an opportunity to convey the right message of love and tolerance towards gay couples. “We feel a strong responsibility”, commented the ex-host of “La Macchina del Tempo”. The appointment with L’Isola dei Famosi, therefore, is for 17 April again on Canale 5, among the other competitors there will be Pamela CamassaFiore Argento, Paolo Noise and Annie Mazzola, Gianmarco Onestini, brother of Luca, and finally Helena Presetes, fresh from her recent and successful participation in Beijing Express 2022.
