As a result of the elections, the ruling party United Russia won, retaining a mono-majority in parliament.
The Central Election Commission of Russia has finished counting the results of voting in the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Results published on website CEC.
The United Russia party won the elections with 49.82% of the vote. Next come the Communist Party of the Russian Federation – 18.93%, the Liberal Democratic Party – 7.55%, A Just Russia – Patriots – For the Truth – 7.46% and New People – 5.32%.
Candidates from United Russia also retained their primacy in 198 single-mandate constituencies, candidates from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation – in nine, from Fair Russia – in eight constituencies. The Liberal Democratic Party has two candidates-leaders in single-mandate constituencies, the Motherland, the Civil Platform and the Party of Growth have one candidate-leader each.
Five self-nominated candidates in single-mandate constituencies also pass to the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Three of them are in Moscow: the coordinator of the search and rescue squad Liza Alert Oleg Leonov, TV presenter Anatoly Wasserman and actor Dmitry Pevtsov.
Recall elections to the State Duma of the eighth convocation were held for three days – September 17, 18 and 19. Also, direct elections were held for the heads of nine constituent entities of the Russian Federation and 39 regional parliaments.
