The Central Election Commission (CEC), which calculates state allocations to political parties twice a year, announces that it has allocated 2024 The amount for the first half of the year.
According to the decision of the CEC, 12 political parties were allocated 2,967,905 euros. The specific amounts are determined according to the number of votes which party received during the last Municipal Councils, European Parliament and Seimas elections (11 political parties) and according to Article 38, Paragraph 5 of the Law on Political Organizations (for the Democratic Union “Vardan Lietuvos”, which was founded after the last Seimas elections).
The largest state grant this half-year will be received by the Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrats, the smallest – based on the votes received during the last local government elections, the 2 percent bar established by law, counting all votes received in elections that affect state budget allocations, was exceeded by the Lithuanian Green Party.
Before the decision to allocate this half-year’s grants to political parties, it was calculated that the half-year coefficient of one voter’s vote is about 0.57 euros.

In total, state budget allocations for political parties in 2024 amount to 6,127,000 euros, of which 625,000 euros are allocated to political parties in accordance with Article 38, Part 5 of the Law on Political Organizations of the Republic of Lithuania.
