NNA – Sidon – A scene of cautious calm continued to dominate the fighting axes in the Ain al-Hilweh camp at night, broken by the throwing of scattered bombs, after a day that fluctuated between calm and a major breach, resulting in three wounded, and shelling and sniper attacks on streets and buildings in the city of Sidon.
As part of the efforts, a meeting was held yesterday evening at the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Beirut between the Fatah and Hamas movements, and several points were agreed upon, most notably:
-Stop media campaigns in all their forms and manifestations, and call on the media to ensure accuracy in reporting the news objectively and professionally.
– Confirming the decision of the Palestinian Joint Action Authority to commit to consolidating the ceasefire and understanding that was reached under the auspices of Prime Minister Najib Mikati and in the presence of the leaders of the security services and the recent meeting held in the General Directorate of Lebanese General Security.
– Confirming the decision of the Palestinian Joint Action Authority to hand over the wanted persons accused of the assassination of Major General Abu Ashraf Al-Armushi, his companions, and Abdul Rahman Farhoud to the Lebanese judiciary to take what is necessary regarding them, and confirming the decision of the Palestinian Joint Action Authority to assign the Joint Security Force to carry out the duty entrusted to it.
– Working to facilitate the return of displaced people to their homes, and accelerating the evacuation of schools to rebuild the damage they sustained as quickly as possible.
– Working together to heal the wounds of our people and alleviate their suffering.
– Continuing coordination with the Lebanese state and all its institutions.
