Thieves in Hong Kong have emerged one after another, and recently takeaways from takeaway drivers have also become targets. The Facebook group “Hong Kong Cavaliers” uploaded a video stating that there have been eight food delivery incidents in the Choi Hung village area in two weeks. To catch the thief, a group of FoodPanda bikers claimed that “dependence on others is worse than relying on yourself,” they successfully caught a man stealing a lunchbox and called the police.
As seen in the video, two delivery men were ambushing them in different places. One of them said, “This camouflage just entered Jinyun Tower and just arrived in his pocket. He should go upstairs and stay there before he gets out.” The driver was wearing camouflage. After more than ten seconds, the man in the shirt circled the motorcycle, then approached the motorcycle and with one hand stole the lunch box hanging from the motorcycle. The ambushing motorcyclist immediately yelled, “Yeah, see, grab the (lunchbox), do something!”
The police pointed out that at around 11 am yesterday morning, when a 41-year-old take-out food driver surnamed Lu was delivering food upstairs in Hongmei Road, Caihong Village, a 62-year-old man surnamed District stole the lunch basket on his motorbike Captured, arrested on suspicion of theft and taken to the police station for investigation.
