Motivated by publications, the CDU local branch in Neuhäusel has considered how to offer citizens help to deal with everyday situations. The article “Bureaucracy monster or socially fair property tax” triggered the information evening “Worth knowing about property tax reform and practical help” on April 12 in Simmern.
Neuhäusel. Christoph Schöll, state chairman of Haus & Grund, describes the situation as follows: “From our point of view, the property tax reform in Rhineland-Palatinate is accompanied by unnecessary bureaucracy, as we have already seen with the introduction of the so-called recurring contributions in the expansion contribution system. Many new ones and expensive posts!” Other federal states took an unbureaucratic and citizen-friendly route. The aim is not to leave the people in the local communities of Simmern and Neuhäusel alone with this bureaucratic monster.
Erhard Herzwurm and Hanno Hofmann, those responsible for the two CDU local branches in Simmern and Neuhäusel, quickly agreed that “together we are strong”. with dr legal Wolfgang Kögler, lawyer and specialist lawyer for tax law from Wallmerod, they were able to win an ideal speaker.
The candidate of the CDU for the election for the local mayor in Simmern, Roman Knopp, could be won for the organization in the village community center. Planning and implementation of the information evening were in the best of hands with him, in close cooperation with Hanno Hofmann.
Far more than 70 interested people could be welcomed. Against the background of the terrible events in the Ukraine, the “Waffles & Cakes for the Ukraine” campaign by the Neuhäuseler Cantönchen & Cantones choirs, the Boy Scouts from Neuhäusel and Simmern, the Boy Scouts from Eitelborn and the Catholic parish of Sankt Marien in der Augst, supports. So Mandy Dämgen, one of the organizers of the campaign, was able to hand over the proud donation amount of 700.80 euros. The two CDU local branches in Simmern and Neuhäusel each contributed 200 euros.
In a very entertaining one-hour presentation, Kögler captivated the property owners. He then answered questions from the auditorium in a competent and citizen-friendly manner. Long-lasting applause for the voluntary commitment was the deserved reward.
Finally, the candidate for mayor, Roman Knopp, answered questions from the Simmern voters.
After the event, Hanno Hofmann announced that the presentation concept would be forwarded. This was accepted by an overwhelming number of visitors with words of praise.
