The president of the departmental Olympic and sports committee of 65, Jean-Yves Mouret, has just organized a meeting to take stock of the 2020 activities and those to come.
Given the health constraints, it is not easy to organize and the meeting took place face-to-face for the Tarbais and by videoconference for the other members elected to the committee.
On the agenda, the approval of the last minutes of the steering committee of 2020, approved unanimously. The president took stock of the Covid crisis and its consequences in the sports world.
Decline in memberships
It should be noted that all the presidents of the departmental committees are worried about the future with a significant drop in memberships for this worried sporting year. In this context, only the Usep is having an honorable season for the sole reason that young people can practice outdoor sports. Despite this difficult context, all have decided to keep “the bar” and promised to be ready as soon as the health situation allows.
The presentation of grants and balance sheets followed.
The last point studied by the participants was the organization of the next general assembly.
The elective general assembly will be held on Friday March 18, very likely in Tarbes. Depending on the health directives, this assembly can take place either face-to-face or dematerialized.
