This Thursday, the arguments began in the Constitutional Court (TC) After a series of requirements presented by Chile Vamos and Democrats on pardons.
It was last December 30 when the President Gabriel Boric granted this benefit to 13 peopleand in this instance, the Government and senators supported their allegations regarding seven pardons.
Opposition MPs were represented by Constance Hubelawyer and UDI militant, and the president was represented by Raul Letelierlawyer of the State Defense Council (CDE).
After the interventions, the ministers conducted a round of questions for each party. At that, the minister Christian Letelier Aguilar asked Letelier if “have information if there are other requests of people who have been sentenced within the context of the social outbreak, if there are requests for pardons and they have not been processed“.
And the CDE lawyer responded in the affirmative: “There is a petition (for pardon) currently being processed that has not been resolved, only one”but did not provide further details.
