The Second Vice-President of CD Tenerife and secretary of the Canarian Foundation CD Tenerife announced this Tuesday a series of actions to help those affected by the eruption on La Palma, which will increase as events unfold. “We are a humble entity but with the ability to arrive, and we must take advantage of the impact that football has to help our people,” the Blue and White leader said at a press conference.
Brito wanted to praise the immediate “commitment” of the squad and coaching staff to wear the solidarity kit in Huesca, with the pertinent authorization from La Liga and the Cabildo de Tenerife. In the appearance, held at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium, Milagros Luis advanced that the first 500 solidarity shirts that the entity put up for sale “are practically sold out”, and now the action called 100×100 La Palma, with the entire donation to those affected of what is obtained at the box office from the sale of tickets for the League match next Sunday (5.15pm) against Amorebieta at the Heliodoro. For that meeting, tickets will be on sale from tomorrow at a price of 15 euros for the Popular and Herradura stands and 25 in San Sebastián and Tribuna. Taking into account that the club already has more than 9,600 subscribers, the rest of the stadium’s capacity will be put on sale since there are currently no capacity restrictions in the Tenerife sports complex. From 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the game, the Rodríguez López box office will be operational.
“CD Tenerife will continue to be present for all the help we can provide,” underlined Milagros Luis Brito, who added that this initiative “will not be the last to be done” from the Blue and White institution. Regarding Tenerife’s absence from the charity match to be played today between Las Palmas and Granadilla Egatesa, Brito pointed out that the club had heard of it “from the press”, and that Tenerife had already orchestrated “another series of actions” , ensuring their certainty that “the population of Gran Canaria will respond well to this full of solidarity” at the Siete Palmas sports venue.
