Cyberpunk 2077 gets its long-awaited launch in a short week – knock on the table. However, some players report that they have already received their copy in the mail, but those who hope to share the experience with others before the game’s official release can just forget about it.
In a statement on Twitter, CD Projekt RED explains that the goal is to let players all over the world jump into the game without having been exposed to any spoilers in advance. With that as a background, the developer issues a stern warning to those who plan to stream the game or make “let’s play” videos.
The article continues below the Twitter image.
– We kindly ask that you do NOT stream, make let’s play videos or release any similar content before 13:00 on December 9 (Norwegian time, journ.anm). We will send MAX-TAC (you know, those who remove videos) after everyone who tries, warns CD Projekt RED.
Of course, videos of the game have already appeared online, but all videos that go up apparently do not live long. The developer points out that everyone is free to make as many videos as they want after the mentioned time.
For those who are wondering just when they get the chance to play, the team has also released a handy guide. Here in Norway, the doors will be unlocked for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from midnight on December 10, while PC and Stadia players will be released from 01:00 that night.
The wait is almost over!
