Like was promised, within the framework of the IgroMir Online 2020 festival, a special edition of the Night City Wire news program was held, dedicated to the features of the Russian version of the action RPG Cyberpunk 2077.
First of all, localizers have already demonstrated famous scene The protagonist V’s acquaintance with the mechanics of braindance – a kind of detective mode that allows you to immerse yourself in other people’s memories.
The episode differs from previous demonstrations by the presence of Russian localization – in Cyberpunk 2077, not only the text, but also the sound will be adapted for Russian players.

Secondly, the translators presented the actors of the domestic dubbing:
- Julia Gorokhova – female version of V;
- Egor Vasiliev – male version of V;
- Ivan Porodnov – Jackie Wells;
- Ingrid Olerinskaya – Judy Alvarez;
- Ilya Bledny – Johnny Silverhand.
According to the senior localization manager Alexander Radkevich, in the Russian dub of Cyberpunk 2077 there will be a place for Vsevolod Kuznetsov (the voice actor of Geralt from the last two The Witcher) – he will play the role “Voices of Night City”.

Localization director Evelina Novikova also assured that with the dubbing, the team tried to “get” not into the voice of the original actor, but into the character of the hero: so in the speech of Mexican Jackie Wells, instead of an accent, words appeared in their native language.
As for profanity, there will be plenty of it in the Russian version of Cyberpunk 2077. At the same time, foul language in localization is not present in order to “To be fashionable”, but to give liveliness to the characters.
