CD Projekt RED has received death threats after the latest Cyberpunk 2077 delay

Recently it became clear that the long-awaited role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 is delayed once again, despite the fact that the developer recently announced that the game has “gone gold”, as it is called.

Understandably, some fans are very disappointed, although the postponement this time is no more than three weeks, but some have taken the disappointment far.

Chief Designer of Cyberpunk 2077, Andrzej Zawadzki, recently posted a Twitter message where he writes that several of the developers have received regular death threats after the new postponement was announced.

Threatens to burn developers alive

– I understand that you feel anger, disappointment and want to say your opinion about it. But sending death threats to the developers is completely unacceptable and just wrong. We are human beings, just like you, the message says.

A little later Zawadzki posted a new Twitter message with excerpts from some of the hate comments, and it’s pretty hard diet. Among other things, it threatens to burn people alive if the game does not come out, and according to Zawadzki, this is actually among the milder hate messages they have received.

The chief designer says that all of the messages will be reported.

Unexpectedly, however, many CD Project RED fans came to the rescue with support messages to the developer shortly after.

– I am completely shocked at how many positive words and messages we received yesterday, with support and love. I want you to know that it means a lot to each and every person. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks, Zawadzki skriver.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows and Stadia on December 10th.
