Windows 7 has been discontinued since January 14, 2020, and Windows 8.1 since January 10, 2023.
Since Microsoft no longer provides security or technical support for Windows 7 as of January 14, 2020, and Windows 8.1 as of January 10, 2023, we will no longer test the game on these operating systems or support them if updates are released after May 17, 2024 of the year.
However, players can always return to an earlier version and continue playing on it. CD Projekt RED published detailed instructions for Steam and GOG.
