In the narrative circulating on social media, a number of netizens questioned the existence of CCTV on the Cikampek-Jakarta toll road.

Because, on Monday (7/12/2020) at dawn there was a case of shooting at Kilometer 50, which killed six sympathizers of the leader of the Islan Defenders Front (FPI) Rizieq Shihab.

PT Jasa Marga’s Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head Dwimawan Heru confirmed that a number of CCTVs on the Cikampek-Jakarta Toll Road were under repair.

“Several CCTVs in the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road area are currently being repaired, due to cable cuts fiber optic, in the section area between West Karawang to Cikampek. “

In addition, Jasa Marga also claims to have no information regarding the shooting incident between the police and Rizieq Shihab’s sympathizers in the Cikampek-Jakarta toll road area.

“Regarding the question about a special incident on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road in the early hours of this morning, we say that we have no information about the incident,” Heru said.

Earlier, the police shot six out of 10 people called sympathizers of the Islamic Defenders Front ( REIT) Rizieq Shihab on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, precisely at Kilometer 50, on Monday (7/12/2020) in the morning.

Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran said the shooting of the six people was suspected of assaulting his staff while carrying out investigations into the Rizieq case.

FPI denied that Rizieq’s sympathizers carried firearms and sharp weapons while escorting the FPI leader.

“Not true. The FPI army never owned firearms,” said the Secretary of the Islamic Defenders Front, Munarman.

Munarman regretted the police statement that said six of Rizieq’s bodyguards were shot dead for carrying out the attack.

“Of course there must be legal accountability on the part of the party who carried out the murder,” he said.
