It was in the gallery of the Leclerc shopping center, its main partner, that C’Chartres Cyclisme presented its new team last Saturday. To do things on a large scale, but with always reasonable means in a discipline that never ceases to suffer, President Patrick Destouches had brought in the Norman speaker Hervé Mangeas, Daniel’s brother, to carry out the staff review. 2023.
Return of Mickaël Larpe
It is a very rejuvenated team which will attack the season next weekend at the Grand Prix de Châtellerault. Indeed, 80% of recruits have not yet celebrated their 22nd birthday. “We are betting on youth to shine and hope to win a victory at home”, proclaims the president Patrick Destouches who is impatiently awaiting the first race in Eure-et-Loir, the Prix Laurent Bezault, on February 26, at Bonneval.

The second great moment of the season will take place, a week later, during the first round of National 2, where the CCC will return to the roads of Poitou, with the Vienne Classic (March 5). There, on this rugged course, the Beauceron club hopes to place itself. And to do this, he decided to recall an old veteran, Mickaël Larpe (37), more than a hundred victories on the clock. “Youth is good, but on the Coupe de France rounds, you also need experience, that’s why I called Mickaël back, who will line up for the five rounds, as well as the Tour of Eure-et-Loir… »
A breath of fresh air with a 26-year-old DS
The TEL (June 9-11) will be the other event of the year for a C’Chartres who, arriving with the sign of Petit Poucet (the only N2 club invited among the Conti Pro and N1), had behaved like a big one during the 2022 edition: 9th place in teams 16 seconds behind Vendée U, 4 Top 20s, including an 8th place on the 1st stage and overall for his road captain, Baptiste Constantin. The light blue club will still rely on the former member of UC Nantes, who had won two bouquets in 2022 (Ronde des Menhirs Sevréenne and La Polysostranienne) and signed ten other podiums.
Le “DS” du C’Chartres, Anthony Uldry.
He and Larpe will thus be the spearheads of a team with long teeth, embodied by the young (26) and new sports director Anthony Uldry. Coming out of Staps with two licenses, as a coach and in adapted sport, passed by the Doubiste club of CC Étupes in 2021 and the Ile-de-France pole in 2022, the Dijonnais will bring a touch of freshness to a formation which is full of it.
