Three days after bringing down the Rouen leader (95-83), the Chartrains offered themselves the scalp of another Norman formation, Le Havre (68-70), Friday March 31, at Docks Oceane.
Chartres loses the first leg against Le Havre
Like last year, Chartres won on the Le Havre floor, except that last year it was in the first phase. There, it’s in high chicken, and this success has more repercussions and allows the CCBM to stay in contact with Rouen who dominated Loon Plage (93-89).
Tuesday, Mulhouse reception
During this meeting, the Chartrains did not steal their success and took their revenge for the first leg where they had been beaten by cracking in the last five minutes of a game they held at arm’s length. But, opposite, a man, Valentin Bigote had hurt them very badly with 26 points.
But, Friday evening, the former rear of Le Mans (ProA) and Bilbao (Liga Endesa) was far from hovering over this return shock. Well taken, the back scored only half of his points in the last quarter (7 out of 16) and, when he caught fire and Le Havre was on the verge of equalizing, the former Manceau committed his 5th fault, in the very last minute.
Next match for the Chartrains, Tuesday April 4, with the reception of Mulhouse, which the CCBM had dominated in the first leg (85-92).
