Well … it’s not that new. Okay, we now have Ali, but before that, everything came from China. All our electronics have been produced by China for decades. So the difference is very small. Now there are ‘entrepreneurs’, or rather opportunists, who earn an extra pocket money by buying the things from Ali and selling them again. It has all become a bit more accessible due to the internet / marketplace etc.

Of course they are not real entrepreneurs. They have a webshop, and perhaps a Chamber of Commerce registration, but that doesn’t make you a ‘real’ entrepreneur. They are opportunists who buy some cheap junk with a minimal investment. They most likely have no real reserves at all, no support, no real customer service. They are one-on-one who get into trouble when too many warranty claims are made or too many items are not delivered on time and angry customers want to cancel.

I generalize, and it won’t be for everyone, but it is true for many such companies. Years ago you also had that with computer shops. Then there were many computer stores at home. Website and they are entrepreneurs. And then getting into trouble when things don’t go as smoothly as possible, too much competition, a customer who doesn’t pay, or another setback.
