The United States Customs and Border Protection Office, better known by its acronym in English as CBP, announced that five lanes will be closed at the San Ysidro Land Port of Entry to be able to cross into Tijuana, due to scheduled construction activity.
The lanes will be closed starting this Monday, February 28 during business hours from 5 in the morning to 1:30 in the afternoon and it is expected to be completed within the next 6 to 10 days, so CBP recommends that all traveling public contemplate delays in crossing from San Ysidro to Tijuana, as well as monitor traffic signals and slow down for construction workers.
Also, trench plates will be installed during the concrete curing process to minimize the impact of traffic, construction workers will be present during this period to assist continuous traffic and facilitate the movement of construction vehicles across the road. heading south toward Tijuana and into the port.
