“Secret of Eternity” is the name of the current tour of the popular horse show “Cavalluna – Passion for Horses”. With a total of 34 cities in Germany and Europe, it is one of the biggest tours in recent years. And again it comes with impressive scenery, spectacular horse riding and fantastic dance choreography. There will also be the Belgian artist Sylvie Willms, who will delight the public with her free dressage. Completely without tools, she directs up to 10 horses with just her voice and body language, allowing them to perform incredible lessons. We were allowed to ask Sylvie a few questions. Sylvie, you are a true expert in liberty dressage. What is it that made you passionate about horses from a young age?
Her friendship, her loyalty, her beauty! I am passionate about knowing them and understanding them better. They are simply fascinating beings and they never cease to amaze me, they make me happy!
What is the most important rule for you when dealing with horses and what is your secret?
The most important thing when working with horses is to do it with joy and love! Mutual respect and mutual trust underlie everything else when dealing with these noble animals.
How did you get to CAVALLUNA?
I have been there since the beginning and I am very happy to be part of the CAVALLUNA family.
What is your personal highlight in this show “Secret of Eternity” – what is the most difficult number?
I present great freedom in the show together with eight of my horses. I can’t say which number is the most difficult, because I do everything with love and dedication and working with my horses is a continuous learning process for both parties.
Each of your horses has its own personality, is there one that is particularly close to you?
As you say, every horse has its own personality and no two are alike. So it’s hard for me to say which one of you particularly stands out. Maybe you can explain it with a school class of so many different kids: every character has his charm and every horse has his quality, and all of them are lovable. One is calm, does everything as best he can and wants me so much
favor. The other horse likes to joke and make me laugh. But what they all have in common: All my horses are very sensitive and love to play.
