Five traffic policemen they will take up service shortly at the Cava de’ Tirreni local police command. This sector has been understaffed for some time, with obvious negative repercussions for the safety of the Metellian city. The Municipality, in fact, finds itself facing an increase in thefts in the area and, in view of the upcoming Christmas holidays, which attract a growing number of visitors to the city also coming from neighboring countries, theServalli administration tries to make Cava safer. This modest “increase” of the number of traffic policemen represents an attempt to combat insecurity and restore a climate of trust among citizens.
The reduction of the local police force has occurred in recent years: many White Helmets have retired and have not been replaced. In recent days, the third sector of the Municipality has issued a notice requesting availability for the use of competition rankings valid for the hiring of five full-time supervisory instructors (36 hours per week) and fixed-term (until December 31 this year). This opportunity was made possible thanks to council resolution of last June, which approved the integrated activity and organization plan.
