Dr Kubes said the warning signs a person may experience when going to the toilet are an increased need to urinate, day and night.
A slow or interrupted flow and the feeling of still wanting to urinate even after you’ve finished urinating.
But other signs that also appear may be more difficult to start urinating. There might even be traces of blood in the urine
Sometimes those with prostate cancer will also experience discomfort when sitting, he said.
Prostate cancer does not cause any symptoms until the cancer has grown large enough to put pressure on the tube that carries urine from the bladder out of the penis (urethra).
