Caussade: the Rotary-club makes college students fly

the essential
22 students from ULIS classes at Pierre-Darasse college have tasted the pleasure of flying thanks to the Rotary club.

The Rotary-club Caussade Midi Quercy, chaired by Sylvie Adell, had the pleasure of offering twenty-two middle school students from the two ULIS classes (localized unit for inclusive education) of the Pierre-Darasse middle school in Caussade, a discovery flight as well as their two teachers Isabelle Giglioli and Audrey Poy. The wonder for some of the children or adults of the college was very perceptible, just like the surpassing of oneself and its apprehensions for others, or even a unique experience, so many feelings experienced today by the whole group of students. of ULIS of the college and their companions who were able to make a flight in a small plane of the flying club, above Montauban or Caussade.
For each flight, two students and one adult with the pilot, in glorious weather. And thanks to André Salesses, pilot and Rotarian, the adventure will continue in June by visiting the army helicopter maintenance center, to discover the jobs of the airport, with these same children.
“The feeling of having made it possible to open up the horizon for these students makes us proud to have carried out this action, and the smiles of the children and those accompanying them are the best rewards. Thank you to all our partners, the Montalban aeroclub and its president Claude Roussel, the CEO of Voyages du Bas Quercy, Régis Prunet who is also a Rotarian. And a very big thank you also to our two volunteer pilots André Salesses, an eminent member of our club and his colleague Francis Chiarbonello. This morning was joyful and rich in new sensations for the twenty-two college students,” comments the president.
