Apas 82 (Association Promotion Autonomie et Santé) offers relatives who live with a person over 60 who needs daily support two meetings on the theme “Garden of the senses, taking care of yourself in contact with nature” on Fridays August 30 and September 13 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at its day center, 25, rue Lavoisier in Caussade.
A whole program to stay healthy by awakening the senses by observing, listening, marveling; by an outdoor sophrology session; by activities related to the garden, such as small gardening, tasting herbal teas from the garden, natural snacks, etc., and with the maximum conviviality, all led by Christelle Sainte-Livrade, horticultural therapist, who will explain with gentleness and kindness how gardening and relationships with nature play an essential role in the prevention, maintenance or improvement of physical, moral and social health.
Thanks to the support of the Conference of Financiers of the Prevention of Loss of Autonomy of Tarn-et-Garonne, this meeting with Apas 82 is completely free.

Day care
The Apas 82 day center is mainly aimed at elderly people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or related diseases and, for some day centers, at people suffering from other neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease, as well as elderly people losing their physical autonomy.
The large landscaped garden allows residents to fully enjoy the outdoors in complete safety and in all seasons. Residents who come to spend days at the day center also benefit from a balanced meal.
