Caussade. A complete stay between sport and entertainment

the essential Encourage children to be physically and sportingly active in a civic attitude while making them aware of diversity.

This was the common thread of the entertainment team that welcomed the children to the LE & C Grand-Sud leisure center in Caussade during the month of July. Over the days, while one group went for a tour of the Estivales du chapeau stands to discover the local heritage, another was introduced to tennis by Edgard, the Tennis Quercy Caussadais teacher. Then, the children from the leisure centers of Réalville, Molières and Septfonds came to Caussade for a fun inter-center event around big games for a very beautiful, joyful day.

Potato swap

Another day, all these people went to have fun at Piwi-Parc in the morning before focusing on fighting the heat by making pretty fans in the afternoon. Every Monday morning, the trip to the Caussade market on a little train was an opportunity to do a potato swap with the non-sedentary traders who were very generous in their exchanges: courgettes, sausage, plums, croissants, basil, sweets, blackberries, melon, etc. And what about the trip to the Quercy’O aquatic centre where some imagined themselves in the shoes of Léon Marchand as well as the workshop for creating the Olympic flame in all its forms. Not forgetting the funfair day with inflatable structures and candy floss. A very big thank you goes to this great animation team composed of Flora, Cynthia, Séverine, Mathéo, Maëlys, Abigaëlle, Baptiste, David, Cristina, Lénie and Orane (absent in the photo: Ana, Célestine, Olivia-Rose, Lucie and Matthéo L.) who accompanied the children during these four weeks of July.

Camp in Najac

The director of the stay, Cristina, emphasizes: “This year, many parents valued our profession by participating in particular in the evening reserved for them, a very motivating return on investment for the whole team who tried hard to do their utmost every day”. The camp in Najac was also a great success with mountain biking, tree climbing, laser target shooting and swimming activities, a chocolate banana barbecue evening and a trip to the night market.

For the end of the summer holidays, the Caussade LE & C Grand-Sud leisure center continues to welcome children from 3 to 12 years old until Friday, August 30. The theme chosen by the entertainment team is “Higher, faster, stronger, together”. Internet: www.lecgs.org/
