Thousands of citizens United States of America (USA) flocked to queue for daily food aid from food bank.
Queues occurred at all food bank offices in various parts of Uncle Sam’s country. The food aid box from the government contains canned peanuts, peanut butter, and rice.
A spokesman for the Food Bank of St. Mary Jerry Brown said the number of residents queuing for food supplies increased sharply by 78 percent compared to last year.

Then what is the cause?
Food queues that occurred in the US were caused by skyrocketing inflation. In June 2022, US inflation hit 9.1 percent, the highest level in 41 years.
This high inflation was caused by various prices that experienced spikes, both food and non-food.
“Therefore, many Americans who have never previously stood in line for food aid are now having to join the ranks,” said Brown, Saturday (16/7).
Tomasina John is one of thousands of residents who lined up for food aid for the first time.
John said that previously the needs of his family who had four children were met, because his husband had an income as a construction worker. However, now the husband’s income is no longer sufficient due to sharp spikes in US prices.
“Now it’s impossible to do enough without help. The price is too high,” he was quoted as saying Associated Press.
Another resident, Diane Martinez, was even willing to walk to join the queue for food aid.
“Food prices are very high and keep going up every day,” he said.
It is known, the spike in inflation that occurred in the US stems from the Russo-Ukrainian war. Tensions between the two countries have a bad impact on the world.
This geopolitical condition caused successive crises starting from the energy crisis, then continuing to the food crisis and also the financial crisis.
