Reporting from Medical News Today, Monday (4/10/2021), people with stomach acid at night have more acute symptoms than people who experience it during the day. This is because the combination of sleep disturbances and more severe symptoms can worsen the quality of life for people with the disease.
The main cause of acid reflux is when stomach contents go up into the esophagus. This condition can occur due to weakening of the esophageal sphincter. The sphincter is a muscle that functions as a valve. This muscle relaxes to allow swallowed food to pass into the stomach.
The muscles then close to keep the food moving in the opposite direction. Meanwhile, to overcome stomach acid that rises at night can be done by avoiding food and drink triggers such as alcohol, spicy foods.
It is also important to avoid caffeinated drinks, garlic, chocolate, sweets and fried and fatty foods. Monitor symptoms, reduce stress , maintain a moderate weight and drink drug can also overcome stomach acid rises.
