Causes of Isco Not Selling on the Transfer Market

Jakarta

Isco yet to get a new club after being released by Sevilla at the end of last year. There are a number of factors that contribute to this problem.

First, the problem of salary. Isco is asking for a high fee. This is suspected to be one of the reasons Union Berlin canceled recruiting him in the transfer market last winter. In fact, he has passed the medical test.

Union Berlin sporting director Oliver Ruhnert’s words “we have limits” suggest that what the two sides agreed at the start has changed. Instead of having problems later, the capital city team chose to withdraw.

While still defending Real Madrid, Isco’s last salary according to reports AS diary ranges from 5-6 million Euros per season. Meanwhile in Seville, that number has dropped fivefold. However, there is a clause in the contract which, if fulfilled, could earn him a fee similar to that at Madrid.

It’s just that, Sevilla finally let go of Isco after four months because his performance was considered not as expected. Isco has indeed not been a mainstay of Madrid for a long time. In his last two seasons at El Real, he only started 11 times in the Spanish League.

The second problem, Isco tends to be picky about destinations. AS diary mention Konyaspor trying to get his autograph. This is still possible because the transfer market in Turkey will only close on February 8.

However, the negotiations eventually stalled because Isco’s salary demands were difficult to fulfill. In addition, the vice president of Konyaspor, Mehmet Akcan, claims that the Isco family does not want to move to Turkey.

After failing to move to Union Berlin, Isco was offered to Manchester United who were looking to replace the injured Christian Eriksen. But the Red Devils finally made their choice to Marcel Sabitzer.

At only 30 years old, Isco actually still has a relatively long time remaining to continue his career in football. However, currently he is still a free agent, and no big European clubs are interested in him yet.
