© News1-An apartment resident in Nowon-gu, Seoul assaulted an apartment security guard, and the police launched an investigation.

The Seoul Nowon Police Department announced that it was investigating a resident A (60s) who had been drunk at around 6 am on the 20th and called an apartment security guard to his house and assaulted with a wooden stick on charges of special assault.

The victim was reportedly injured for 3 weeks by being struck in the shoulder and head.

It is known that this is not the first time Mr. A’s assault against an apartment security guard. Reports were filed for assaulting security guards twice in 2017 and once in 2019, but all internal affairs were terminated with’no public prosecution’. It was said that the victims at the time did not want punishment. A police official said, “The special assault can be sent to the prosecution regardless of the victim’s will,” and “We plan to summon Mr. A after determining whether there is additional damage to fellow security guards and apartment residents.”
