Like electric cars, it is also being developed plug-in hybridy. The first ones were able to drive around 30 km just on the battery, and today we have a hundred and more. Stop batteries can hold more and more energy, but you still have security in the form of an internal combustion engine and fuel tank.

However, the Chinese CATL has announced a super battery that gives an electric range of around 400 km per charge. And that’s a real shame, because it’s a price range that’s similar to what cheaper electric cars can manage.

It’s an art, because you have to be aware that the battery in electric cars can be the length of the floor, while in plug-in hybrids the space is limited because of the engine, the transmission or the flow, for example.

In addition, CATL claims that its collection z advanced materials and by using premium chemistry, it manages fast charging. In particular, at a suitable station in optimal conditions, you can add 280 km of range in 10 minutes.

CATL’s mass-produced batteries will go into about thirty hybrid models next year. In particular, they will be accepted by the Chinese brands Chery, GAC, Geely and also Beautifulwhich is also sold in the Czech Republic.

With this battery, a new era of plug-in hybrids can begin, which will create an interesting alternative to electric cars. It will start in China, but the road to electric Europe seems more open.
