Catherine Zeta-Jones to Star in Season Two of Fox’s ‘Prodigal Son’ Police Series | Television | Entertainment

Catherine Zeta-Jones will play Claremont’s new psychiatrist, Dr. Vivian Capshaw, in the second season of the Fox series “Prodigla Son”.

The Academy Award, Tony Award, and three-time Screen Actors Guild Award winner will appear regularly in the second half of the series alongside Welsh native Michael Sheen. When the show’s infamous killer, Dr. Martin Whitly (Sheen), aka “The Surgeon,” is assigned to nursing duties, the Zeta-Jones character delights in tasking the charismatic psychopath with tedious and degrading tasks. But when Martin proves his genius to Capshaw (Zeta-Jones), the doctor begins to see his twisted expertise as an advantage.

“An extraordinary talent, Catherine Zeta-Jones is the perfect match for the brilliant Michael Sheen,” said Michael Thorn, FOX Entertainment president of entertainment, in a statement. “I can’t wait to see these two greats go head-to-head in a season that is sure to raise the bar set by the previous season.” Most recently, Zeta-Jones starred in the 2017 real-life crime drama telefilm “Cocaine Godmother,” where she played Miami drug lord Griselda Restrepo Blanco.

The second season of “Prodigal Son” premieres Tuesday, January 12, on Fox. Newcomer Catherine Zeta-Jones’ co-stars returning to the series include Tom Payne, Lou Diamond Phillips, Aurora Perrineau, Frank Harts, Keiko Agena, Halston Sage, and Bellamy Young. (AND)
